Dr. Benjamin F. Bush is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving patients in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and communities throughout California’s Central Coast. A native of Atascadero, Dr. Bush was pleased to return to San Luis Obispo County and join Central Coast Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Education and Dental Training
Dr. Bush graduated from Atascadero High School in 1999. He then attended the University of California, Irvine on an athletic scholarship. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2003.
After completing his undergraduate education, Dr. Bush moved to New York City and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2009.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency
Dr. Bush completed his specialty training through Weill Cornell Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, formerly known as Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center.
His residency encompassed the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. During his final year of training, Dr. Bush served as chief resident of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department.

Dr. Bush has a particular interest in facial reconstruction and the latest innovations in bone grafting and dental implant placement for restoring the jaws and teeth.
His areas of surgical training and clinical interest include:

After completing his residency, Dr. Bush and his wife, Natalie, moved to the Los Angeles area, where he entered private practice before returning to the Central Coast.

Dr. Bush and his wife, Natalie, have two daughters. As a family, they enjoy everything the Central Coast offers, including spending time at the beach, hiking, camping, mountain biking, and running.
Dr. Bush is also an avid runner and triathlete who participates in events throughout the country.
