Dr. Eric M. Alltucker is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving patients in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and communities throughout California’s Central Coast. He joined Central Coast Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2001 after beginning his surgical practice in Sacramento in 2000.
Dr. Alltucker provides comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery with particular interests in corrective jaw surgery, facial reconstruction, facial trauma, jaw and sinus bone grafting, dental implants, and general anesthesia for patients of all ages, including children.
Education and Medical Training
Dr. Alltucker earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1994.
He subsequently attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1997. The former medical school is now part of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
General Surgery and Oral Surgery Residency
Following medical school, Dr. Alltucker completed three additional years of hospital-based surgical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His first year consisted of a general surgery internship.
He then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and served as chief resident during his final year. The program is now associated with the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Board Certifications and Anesthesia Training
Dr. Alltucker became board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003. He is also certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
His medical and surgical training enables him to provide general anesthesia for patients across different age groups, including pediatric patients, when clinically appropriate.
